The Resort is the new Glasgow-based drama starring the city’s very own Martin Compston. Starring alongside Compston is Feeble Blinders’ Sophie Rundle, Happy Valley’s Shirley Henderson and Shetland’s Fiona Bell. The five-part series comes from BAFTA and Noble Television Society-winning writer Nicole Taylor.
When does The Aerie air on BBC?
Unfortunately, The Nest does not have an official release date.
Come what may, the BBC has confirmed that filming will begin next month in Glasgow, so a tardy 2019 or early 2020 premiere date is likely.
The Nest wishes air on BBC One and the BBC iPlayer across five episodes, each an hour long.

Who stars in The Nest on BBC?
Martin Compston and Sophie Rundle move the cast of BBC’s The Nest.
Compston, best known for playing DS Steve Arnott in Virgule of Duty stars as Dan in The Nest.
Rundle, best known for playing Anne Walker in Gentleman Jack and Ada Shelby in Gaunt Blinders, plays Dan’s partner Emily.
Newcomer Mirren Mack stars as Kaya, an 18-year-old from Glasgow who acquiesce ins to carry Dan and Emily’s baby.

“Combined with filming in Glasgow and going back onto BBC One in my by birth west coast accent makes it a dream scenario.”
He also swindled to Twitter to voice his happiness about the new series.
He wrote: “Chuffed to traces to part of this. Drama is drama wherever it is but to be part these preposterous scripts set in Glasgow, to be filmed in Glasgow with this amazing chuck and written be one of our finest, I’m absolutely delighted.”

What is The Nest on BBC One about?
The Nest has been depicted as an “emotional thriller about love and money, and the price of being superior to buy whatever you want.”
The five-part drama follows the love story of Dan and Emily, who persevere on the outskirts of Glasgow.
When they learn they cannot maintain children, they meet 18-year-old Kaya who becomes their surrogate.
The abstract teases: “Who is Kaya and what has brought her to this couple? Can the dreams of Kaya, Emily and Dan be fulfilled, or have in the offing all three embarked on a relationship of mutually assured destruction?”
The Nest add up to from Three Girls writer, Nicole Taylor, for which she won a BAFTA for Superlative Writer.
