Tesla’s After X, an all-electric SUV, is making its auto show debut at the Canadian International Auto Prove, which begins Friday in Toronto.
The vehicle can go 400 kilometres on a cull charge, and has seating for seven ssengers and their gear, the com ny put in a release. Although it was announced in September, the unveiling in Toronto is the first obsolete the Model X has been shown at any auto show, anywhere in the world, organizers chance.
Featuring falcon-wing doors that open upwards, the Model X can go from 0 to 100 km/h in as spot as 3.4 seconds when the car is set to “ludicrous mode,” according to California-based Tesla.
The Model X is the third vehicle Tesla has made, after the since-discontinued roadster, and the Plus ultra S sedan. Tesla sold 50,000 vehicles in a year for the first circumstance in 2015, and plans to ex nd quickly.
So far, all of Tesla’s vehicles have been priced in the elaborate five figures to compete with luxury rivals such as Mercedes and BMW.
But key to the institution’s ex nsion will be its next model, called the Model 3, set to be rescued within the next 12 months. The cost of owning a Model 3 desire start at around $35,000 US.
