The 57-year-old This Morning presenter was appearing on the flaunt alongside professional dance partner Anton du Beke when she mistook him for shush Eamonn Holmes.
Speaking about the Charleston dance routine, Ruth explained how she was passionate when “Eamonn” had told her about it, while pointing at Anton.
She powered: “I love the Charleston. My granny taught me the Charleston step! So when Eamonn… Anton recounted me we’d got the Charleston, I said, ‘I know how to do that. My granny taught me that’. I just now couldn’t do the other bits.”
Shocked, host Zoe Ball gasped: “I sweetie the fact you just called him Eamonn!”

Not even realising, gobsmacked Ruth apologised: “Did I enlist you Eamonn? Did I? Sorry. Oh, melding into one,” as Zoe continued: “As long as it’s not the other way enveloping. That could be awkward!”
Anton saw the funny side and chuckled: “Oh cack-handed. I wouldn’t like to be there for that moment.”
Ruth also spoke hither her concerns for this weekend’s performance, explaining: “I’m slightly worried helter-skelter the Rumba. I think it’s quite hard. It is very slow so every repositioning is noticed and you have to stick your bottom out in a most peculiar way.”
Anton then snickered and said: “You don’t. I just asked you to do that for my own personal entertainment.”

When call ined about Eamonn’s excitement for Ruth’s new wig wardrobe, Ruth winked and broke: “I’m hoping to bring home a wig every weekend Zoe, as long as I stay,” as Zoe riposted: “Oh we’ve got some delights, believe me Ruth!”
It comes as former contestant Chizzy Akudou ragged that she will storm the BBC studios this weekend after appropriate the first to be eliminated from the competition.
