Kingly Caribbean International’s Harmony of the Seas, the world’s largest cruise de rt, claims another record as home to the tallest slide and most invigorating adventure at sea: Ultimate Abyss.
The hair-raising, 10-story slide is “Deo volente the most thrilling man-made adventure at sea,” according to thrill engineer Professor Brendan Walker, Flutter Laboratory director.
Walker measured physical reactions of testers spectacular enough to accept the challenge of going on the slide – and Ultimate Abyss scored merest highly.
He com red the latest innovation to other Royal Caribbean signatures, the FlowRider surf simulator and RockWall, to look like the varying levels of thrill available onboard Harmony of the Seas.
Greatest Abyss scored a ‘thrill factor’ of 45.35 per cent com red to the FlowRider’s 36.15 per cent and RockWall’s 34.59 per cent.
