Burden Watchers stock is gaining again, thanks to Oprah Winfrey’s importance loss.

The com ny’s shares soared Tuesday after a new commercial playing Winfrey aired where she says she has lost 26 pounds on Arrange Watchers. Winfrey said during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Guide that she started on the plan in August.

Winfrey bought a 10 per cent risk in the weight-loss com ny in October. Its stock is up more than 90 per cent since then. Winfrey is a simpleton fit for the com ny: Her struggle with weight was a frequent topic of her former talk posture.

“I love bread!,” Winfrey says in the new commercial. “That’s the aptitude of this program. I lost 26 pounds and I have eaten bread every isolated day.”

Winfrey posted the ad online Tuesday to her nearly 31 million Chatter followers.

Weight Watchers has also made changes to its plans recently to better fit in with Winfrey’s implication of living a healthy and happier life, and not just focusing on weight sacrifice.

Shares of New York-based Weight Watchers International Inc. rose 21 per cent to $13.44 in afternoon traffic. But they are still down about 21 per cent from a year ago.
