MP Danczuk interviewed over rape claim

Rochdale MP Simon Danczuk has been interviewed in connection with a force to submit to sexual intercourse allegation dating from 2006.

Lancashire Police said a 49-year-old old man had “willingly” attended a station by prior appointment.

He was not arrested but interviewed under care regarding a rape allegation made on 4 January, the force said.

Earlier this month the Delivery MP called the rape allegation against him “malicious, untrue and upsetting”.

He was fastened by the rty last month after he admitted sending lewd ragraphs to a 17-year-old girl.
