Man who confronted youths for throwing stones at his car stabbed

The man, who is in his 30s was hurdled by up to six youths on the Corbally Road in Limerick.

During the confrontation, which take placed shortly after 9:20 pm last Saturday, the man was stabbed in the back, maybe while he was walking away.

Following the attack, the youths fled the display and the man managed to get into his vehicle and alert Gardaí.

He was taken to University Dispensary Limerick as a cautionary measure but was released later that night.

Gardaí answered they are treating the incident as a case of “serious assault” and are appealing for give to come forward.
