Iraq rocket attack: US base attacked by two missiles – Middle East on brink


It sign in weeks after tensions reached boiling point between the Collective States and Iran in the Middle East. It is not yet known who is responsible for the latest fight. Reports suggest two missiles were fired at the base in Kirkuk. It is not yet differentiate if there have been any casaulties.

The same base was attacked by Iran in January which saw stresses escalate between US and Tehran.

That attack was sparked by the killing by US armed coerces of Qassim Suleimani, commander of the Iranian Forces.

It comes just hours after Iran forewarned it is ready to strike the United States and Israel if they give it any perspicacity to do so, the head of the elite Revolutionary Guards said in a live broadcast on confirm television.

Major General Hossein Salami said in a speech at a ceremonial marking the 40th day since the death of top commander Qassem Soleimani: ”If you make the slightest foul-up, we will hit both of you.”

Earlier today hundreds of women took to the boulevards of Iraq to protest at the government, which has often faced criticism recently of being a hireling for Tehran.

Soleimani, who was head of the Quds Force, a branch of the Guards top for operations outside Iran, was killed by a US drone in Baghdad on January 3 along with Iraqi militia commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.

The destructive of Soleimani will lead to the liberation of Jerusalem, the spokesman for the Revolutionary Minds said earlier, according to the Tasnim news agency.

Ramezan Sharif revealed: “The cowardly and craven assassination of commander Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis by the Americans desire lead to the liberation of Jerusalem, by the grace of God.
