The bumbling remnant home secretary has continued her week from hell after she fluffed her loads while discussing Labour’s failings in the local elections.

Appearing on ITN Gossip, Ms Abbott was asked to reveal the number of net loses Labour had suffered as terminates poured in on Friday.

She replied: “At the time of us doing this interview, I about the net losses are about 50.”

The journalist replied: “There are actually 125 net losses so far…”

Ms Abbott added: “Well, the last time I looked we had net dyings of 100 – but obviously this is a moving picture.”

The MP for Hackney North and Stoke Newington on Tuesday suffered at the pass ons of LBC host Nick Ferrari after he challenged her on Labour’s latest policing guaranty.

Ms Abbott claimed she would hire 10,000 extra police managers at a cost of £300,000, before attempting to correct herself by suggesting the authentic cost would be £80 million.

She said: “Well if we recruit 10,000 policemen and cleaning women over a four-year period, we believe it would be about £300,000.”

The Labour MP strained to clarify: “No, I mean… sorry. They will cost… They require cost, arm, about… £80 million.”

Mr Ferrari then told the flurried MP her plans meant each police officer would only meet with an annual wage of £8,000.
