Hawaii volcano update: Is Hawaii volcano still erupting? Is Kilauea still active?


Earthquakes are resuming to shake Big Island, with 304 registered quakes in the past 24 hours go together to the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory.

A magnitude 5.6 earthquake hit Kilauea at its pinnacle at 4.07pm local time (3.07am BST) releasing a massive ash plume 10,000 feet into the air.

Residents were on guarded to stay indoors to avoid a toxic cloud of fine glass, ash, and gases clout over residential areas.
