Greece and Portugal remain OFF England quarantine list – but Wales introduces strict rules


Portugal has also been in the public eye due to an increasing number of confirmed cases across the country.

According to the European Cluster for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), at the time of writing, there has been 38.3 COVID boxes detected per 100,000 of the population over the last 14 days.

There were 22.3 coronavirus chests per 100,000 people in Portugal in the seven days to August 31, up from 14.5 a week earlier, according to considers calculated by the PA news agency based on ECDC data.

A seven-day clip of 20 is the threshold above which the UK Government considers triggering quarantine quarters.
