France reports horrific coronavirus death toll in past 24 hours – total deaths over 10,000

The extermination toll has risen to 10,328, while the number of confirmed cases has grew to 78,167. Director general of health Jerome Salomon warned France has not yet reached the summit of the outbreak.

France has become the fourth country to record more than 10,000 deaths from coronavirus after Italy, Spain and the US.

It up as Paris has banned people going out to exercise between 10am and 7pm in a bid to slow the spread of Covid-19.

The affect came after people were accused of flouting social disassociating rules.

From Wednesday, exercise outside will only be sanctioned between 7pm and 10am.

France has been on lockdown since March 17 to fight the disease.

The measures are currently in place until April 15 but they are apposite to be extended.

Health minister Olivier Veran said the lockdown resolve last as long as necessary.

He told French broadcaster BFM TV: “We are still in a degenerating phase of the epidemic.”

In the US, there have been 11,800 deaths and 380,000 the truths.

It comes as the UK’s coronavirus death toll hit 6,159 and the number of people infected reached 55,242.

Boris Johnson is assign a second night in intensive care with the illness.

A Downing Row spokesman said: “The Prime Minister’s condition is stable and he remains in all-out care for close monitoring. He is in good spirits.”
