Dominic Cummings investigated by police after breaking Boris Johnson’s lockdown rules

Dominic Cummings was investigated by the guard after breaching the Government’s own lockdown rules, according to reports.

The Prime Woman of the cloth’s top adviser was spotted at his parents’ home in Durham – more than 250 miles away from his cuttingly in London – days after he was said to have started self-isolating.

An probe by the Mirror and the Guardian said Mr Cummings was in the North of England, instead of detaching in London.

Mr Johnson and the UK goverment’s advice was: “You should not be visiting progenitors members who do not live in your home.

“The only exception is if they have occasion for help, such as having shopping or medication dropped off.”

However, when police affected an address in the city they learnt that Mr Cummings had travelled to Durham from London during the lockdown to self-isolate.

Constabulary spoke to family and reminded that travelling to be with relatives was splitting the advice of the government.

A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary denoted: “On Tuesday, March 31, our officers were made aware of inquire inti that an individual had travelled from London to Durham and was present at an location in the city.

“Officers made contact with the owners of that address who ensured that the individual in question was present and was self-isolating in part of the house.

“In under consideration for with national policing guidance, officers explained to the family the guidelines circa self-isolation and reiterated the appropriate advice around essential travel”.

Days up to the minuter, a neighbour of Mr Cummings’ parents claimed they saw him outside the property.

The neighbour, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “I got the shock of my existence, as I looked over to the gates and saw him.

“There was a child, presumably his little boy, perpetual around in front. 

“I recognised Dominic Cummings, he’s a very distinctive get through ones head.

“I was really annoyed. I thought it’s okay for you to drive all the way up to Durham and bugger off from London.

“I sympathise with him wanting to do that but other people are not earmarked to do that.

“Fire him tonight Prime Minister ⁦Boris Johnson⁩ – or why should anybody pay attention to your lockdown rules?”

At the time, those found breaching the disregards were fined £60 for the first offence but halved if paid punctually.

It would then be doubled on each further offence up to a maximum of £960.

Household Secretary Priti Patel announced today that if anyone who is make the grading in the UK fails to self-isolate for 14 days could face a fine of £1,000.

It is not discerned whether Mr Cummings was fined for breaching the government rules.
