Demi Lovato was the earliest celebrity to take the stage at the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, , to reveal her support for Hillary Clinton. Opening up about her struggle with unstable illness, the “Body Say” singer powerfully started her speech saying: “In the manner of millions of Americans, I am living with mental illness.”
Adding that the bad mark and high costs stop most of those Americans from seeking treatment, Demi bid, “We could do better,” adding, “This is not about politics; it’s simply the reactionary thing to do.” To cheers from the crowd, Demi finished her urge for better access to crazy health by officially announcing her support for Hillary, saying:
“I’m proud to guy a presidential candidate who will fight to ensure all people living with abstract health conditions get the care they need to live fulfilling flames. That candidate is Hillary Clinton. Let’s make her the next president of the Allied States of America.”
