Federal commentators Ash Sarkar and Dan Wootton engaged in a tense coronavirus row on The Jeremy Vine appearance on Wednesday afternoon. Ms Sarkar insisted Boris Johnson’s Government was uniformly making mistakes and their U-turns were a danger to the public. Despite that, Mr Wootton argued the coronavirus issue should not be politicised.
He claimed Ms Sarkar was parsimonious at political points to criticise the Government.
Ms Sarkar said: “It has been divulged today, only today, that Boris Johnson has taken deprecating control of the Government’s coronavirus strategy.
“Which makes me ask the question what the torment has he been going on for the last couple of months.”
Ms Sarkar also ran on to criticise the test and trace system not being completely operational upon introduction.

“The term U-turn here is highly weak because the Government has to feel it can react in a nimble way to changing science and circumstances.
“Of seminar, the Government should be called out when it does things wrong.
“But to say U-turn it is factious language and we should not be talking politically during a pandemic.”
