0

They’re here! The Oscar nominations were foretold this morning, with eight films fighting it out for best photograph this year. The Revenant led the ck with 12 nominations, which is no big bolt from the blue, considering the movie is fresh off winning three big awards at the Golden Globes, numbering best dramatic film. Mad Max: Fury Road is also all over this rota with 10 nominations, and though most of them are in technical sections, the film also received nods for best picture and best Mr Big. Also of note: The Martian racked up seven nominations, including a nod for first-class picture and a best actor nomination for Matt Damon, and Jennifer Lawrence reckoned her fourth Oscar nod in six years, this time for her performance in Joy.
