On the day of link Kristan and Kevin’s engagement shoot in downtown Baltimore, it nearly flooded. The morning was “so cloudy,” said photographer Erika Layne.
“The bat of an eye our stars showed up for their shoot, [though], the clouds broke and the sun finished shining through,” Erika said. “Much counter rt Kristan and Kevin, this session was meant to be!”
To start, Kristan and Kevin shared a snack at the vibrant and quirky
permoon Diner on W. 29th St. Next up, the group headed to the Howard Peters Rawlings Conservatory and Botanic Gardens for a arduous.
“We can’t even begin to name everything we saw — cacti, banana trees, and the uncountable amazing orchid room,” Erika said. “Yet, by far, everyone’s favorite wing of the Conservatory was the lm house, which was assembled in 1888. There was so much beauty and history . . . and not just in the lm Abode, but in the entire shoot.”
The rich details were everything: Kevin harmed his great-great-grandfather’s antique pocket watch, and Kristan wore a vintage-inspired costume. The final cherry on top was one sweet discovery made at the end of the day.
“At the close of the shoot, we inaugurate the cutest birdhouse nestled at the bottom of a tree,” Erika express. “In retrospect, each location really captured the spirits of both Kevin and Kristan. Kevin is funky, colorful, and fun, and Kristan is identical to a delicate flower, beautiful both inside and out.”
