It rush ated as the teenager was trying out the so called ‘bucket list’ activity.
The incident, at a marble quarry confidential to the city of Murmansk in Russia’s north-western Murmansk Oblast region, was found on video.
The clip begins with the girl, 19-year-old Maryana, being cheered by her lovers as she pre res to leap from a clifftop platform.
The bungee cord is fixed devoted to to another line across a gorge so that jumpers cross from side-to-side while simultaneously bouncing up-and-down.
Maryana’s vault seems to be going to plan as she plunges towards the river below in front of being pulled back up by the cord at the last second.
But then she burgeons across the gorge too fast and slams into the rocks on the other side.
She bags feet first at speed before being thrown like a rag doll headfirst into a penniless face, hurting her head and legs.
Her shocked friends can be heard on the video demand: “Has she hurt herself? How did it happen? How is this possible?”
The clip promptly went viral after being uploaded to social media and local internet forums.
Fortunately, Maryana’s smash helmet saved her from suffering serious injuries but she had to be rushed to medical centre.
Doctors said she had suffered only minor injuries but she is currently on wretched leave from work.
Netizen Moska commented: “That is a peculiar bungee jump rope. The rope didn’t seem to stretch correctly.”
And Alexander “SNPY” Buglanov added: “I won’t do bungee jumping for ever again. Don’t want to challenge my luck.”
