The Inspiration Behind Kate Middleton's Taj Mahal Dress Just Might Surprise You


We weren’t staggered to find Kate Middleton’s Taj Mahal dress perfectly appropriate for such a significant occasion. The minisheath, complete with cobalt embroidery, was selected from Indian-American artist Naeem Khan’s Resort 2015 collection. But, as he explained to Fashionista during an sound out, he had no idea the duchess would choose his dress:

«[Kate’s stylists] elicited us. She was going to India — and she makes it a point to honor the designer[s] from that for the sake of of the world — and I was lucky enough to be chosen for her to wear something from me.
