While the test show comedian is known for his sometimes outrageous quips and winding up the four faculty chasers on the ITV gameshow, the latest unpredictable offering left fans goggling if he’d gone too far.

Bradley Walsh, 57, was on top form as he joked with 33-year-old adversary David, first up to face Shaun Wallace (The Dark Destroyer), but over again slowed the process down as he teased the chaser.

During one question regarding sporting events, he began attempting to perform the act of running and shooting at the verbatim at the same time time, before his hyper behaviour intensified to joke about David’s unsuspecting cheek-kiss on fellow player Josephine, 68.

«Oo ‘allo ‘allo Josephine,» he regarded unnecessarily.

The Chase: Shaun Wallace was on mainly grumpy form on today’s episode

Some fans couldn’t take cover their annoyance at the presenter’s behaviour, as one person raged: «Bradley Walsh is an unfunny t*t! #TheChase,» while another supplemented: «Well I’ve given  #TheChase ago but I just can’t stand Bradley. He really isn’t odd!!»

After the second advert break, Bradley appeared to calm down and cart the show seriously once more, but it wasn’t enough to help the work together beat Shaun, 57, in the final chase.

Retired Hampshire chef Josephine and firefighter David struggled to team up in their final chance at winning some money, unfortunately purely managing to rack up 12 correct answers.

The Chase continues tomorrow at 5pm on ITV.
