Arriving on Strictly Come Dancing’s sister show It Takes Two last sundown, Ian, 47, was quick to pull up Stacey Dooley, 31, on her mistakes as he critiqued the yoke’s rehearsal.
Joined by show host Zoe Ball, 47, the former Strictly trained did say Stacey was doing well but needed to work on a couple of things.
Stacey and her consort Kevin, 35, blew the judges away at the weekend when they performed a Quickstep as the characters from the film Despicable Me.
However, Ian suggested the pair needed to be closer together for their upcoming ball as BBC viewers were shown the couple in rehearsal.

As Zoe moved on to speak about Stacey, the host prognosticated: “Everybody loved their Minion Quickstep last week, they’ve got a Foxtrot this week, can she board up that level of performance?
Ian then gave his critique, stating there were a few accentuates the pair needed to work on before taking to the dance floor this weekend.
The dancer indicated: “There are three points I would like her to work on. Firstly, they’re intermission a lot, she needs to keep her body up to Kevin.
“Also, you can see she has this elbow up in the air, that insufficiencies to stay flat so we don’t get any lifting of the elbow, he continued as he referred to the footage.
Ian then continued: “Then her head, she sometimes comes into Kevin a little bit, she emergencies to keep it out to that left hand side.
“Shape it, slide it across much the same as lovely Joanne Clifton said the other day,” Ian concluded as he addressed Karen’s parnesis. “Then she’ll look gorgeous,” Ian added.

However, earlier in the segment, Ian did praise the couple and in particular Stacey’s footwork.
Referring to the footage, Ian said: “They’re just succeeding though the steps here and it’s flowing nicely.”
Ian then surprised Zoe by asserting: “I particular like her feet,” but then paused to laugh when he realised what he mentioned.
The professional then repeated: “I particularly like her feet,” with Zoe ribbing him, adding: “You love Stacey Dooley’s feet, secret’s out.”
Trying to progressing on from the humorous moment, Ian said: “The footwork is quite good.
“She is doing some absolutely good heel leads there where they should be and the toes where they should be which is unceasingly the difficult thing in Foxtrot.”
Also on last night’s programme, Seann Walsh, 32, and Katya Jones, 29, spoke publicly for the maiden time about their kiss.
The Strictly couple were envisioned kissing last week, with the images emerging in the media terminated the weekend.
Appearing on the show, the couple apologised again for their actions after engaging to Twitter earlier in the week.
Seann said: “I think that of course I’m sorry for the hurt I have caused.
“We were getting on well, we were own fun, we had a couple of drinks and made a huge mistake and regret it deeply.”
