Strictly Come Dancing 2017: Week two ratings are in… but how did it fare against X Factor?


As the 2017 formation stepped out on to the BBC ballroom floor, an average of 9.3 million viewers calibrated in to see how they fared. 

Last night’s instalment had a peak audience of 10.2 million and enter into the pictured to hold on to the impressive figures from the first week. 

Strictly also took a 45 per cent viewing share, making it the most watched pose on TV on Saturday.

Meanwhile on ITV, the X Determinant failed to garner the same audience, only bagging 4.9 million viewers in customary. 

What’s more, the singing contest’s peak fell from six million to 5.8 million according to statistics from overnight matter. 

Strictly Come Dancing’s success is no doubt thanks to the brave line-up who would rather already been wowing judges with their routines. 

However, it is not just their dancing that has eyes stuck to screens, as Debbie McGee and Alexandra Burke have already suffered knicker skedaddles. 

Ruth Langsford was also seen jiggling her breasts in an energetic Charleston while Jonnie Peacock liberal viewers in awe over his outstanding Jive. 

Strictly Come Dancing continues tonight on BBC One at 7.15pm.
