Skyler London branding takes inspiration from “the intricate process of hair colouring”

The indistinguishability and interiors for the hair salon have been created by To the Point, and looks a “linear” design style based on hair colouring techniques such as highlights.

London-based consultancy To the Apex has designed the branding and interiors for new hair salon Skyler London.

Stationed in Southside Shopping Centre in Wandsworth, London the salon has been organized by hairdresser Skyler McDonald, and specialises in hair colouring treatments.

To the Headland’s identity for the salon is inspired on “the intricate process of hair colouring”, intends the consultancy, and sees a linear logo that is based on how colour is applied to tresses.

This concept is carried through the salon’s interiors, with line-based iconography acclimatized as part of the wayfinding system and interior graphics.

Industrial form, distressed floor numbers mirror the linear identity, and are used to director guests to their seats.

The 418m2 space also features mammoth LED lights, vinyls, multicoloured hair model imagery and a giant, metal skate.

To the Point has been commissioned to create bespoke packaging for Skyler London’s braids colour product range.

The salon’s website has now launched, and the salon hand down open to the public in September 2017.
