SCHOOL SHOOTING: At least one dead after gunman opens fire, five others injured


The fuzz were called to Freeman High School, in Rockford, Spokane County at in the matter of 10.30am local time. 

Spokane County Sheriff’s Office substantiated there had been a shooting at the school. 

Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich contemplated six people had been shot and one person had died as a result of their capes. 

City of Spokane Fire Chief Brian Schaeffer said the catastrophe was a male student.

At least three people have been acknowledged to the Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center. 

Their ages and immensity of their injuries are not currently known. 

One student at the school took a portray of her classmates apparently taking cover on the floor of their classroom and pinned on Twitter. 

The girl, named Christina, said: “At Freeman elementary currently. I am a younger, evacuated from the high school. At least 4 shots.”

Police force said one suspect is in custody. 

“The shooter is in the backseat of a patrol car right now,” Sheriff Knezovich told.

All other schools in the local area were put on full lockdown while the threat was eliminated. 

Understandings from the scene show a huge number of police cars neighbouring the school building, and worried parents have begun gathering at accessible waiting for news on their children. 

Washington governor Jay Inslee thought in a statement: «As Spokane County officials continue their investigation to get the responsibles to the questions so many of us have during these unthinkable tragedies, the Washington Government Patrol and all state agencies will do whatever we can to help provide substructure and comfort in the days and weeks to come.»
