The public school bus overturned in the collision, and police say several passengers were ejected from the bus superseding a collision with a dump truck.
The crash took place at everywhere 10:30am local time (3.30pm BST) on I-80 westbound near Exit 25 and Carry 206.
The cabin of the bus appears to have been completely ripped off the chassis in the uneasiness crash.
ABC reported the Morris County prosecutor’s office as saying were multiple casualties in the crash.
However, no identities will be released until families are told.

NBC New York reported that the bus, which has the Paramus Room of Education logo on the side, came from East Brook Halfway School in Paramus, a public school serving roughly 650 admirers in grades 5-8.
The school’s calendar shows a scheduled fifth-grade class slip to Waterloo Village in Stanhope.
A Paramus School District statement declared: “This morning, East Brook Middle School students on their way to Waterloo Village were snarled in a serious bus accident on Route 80 in Mount Olive, NJ.
“Morristown Medical Center, St. Joseph’s Sickbay, and Hackettstown Medical Center are treating the injured passengers.
“Family fellows are asked to visit East Brook Middle School to await multitudinous information from school officials. Students will be dismissed from private school.”
Emergency vehicles at the scene of the bus crash
Mayor of Mount Olive Rob Greenbaum indicated: “There’s an incredible emergency response from throughout Morris County and by Hold Police. It’s a horrific scene.
“Obviously my heart goes out to the community and the parents.”
He verbalized he had been told by emergency services that people had been jettisoned from vehicles as a result of the accident, but he could not tell whether the bus was one of these.
The bus appeared to be owned by the Paramus Put up of Education, he confirmed.
Paramus is a borough in Bergen County, New Jersey.

Mount Olive Police tweeted: “Crash investigation on Carry 80 by mile marker 25. Route 80 closed both administrations.
“Westbound traffic being diverted at exit 26. Expect downcast traffic and delays on Route 46.”
