Divers suggested the Irish presenter was the “best” host the BBC programme had seen since the long-serving Yorkshireman’s de rture earlier this year.
Lovers took to Twitter in their droves to ask for the 30-year-old to be made a permanent fitting, in spite of the instalment being cut short thanks to Trooping The Colour.
Although Donal’s aspect was seemingly being a huge success, those at home were brilliant to complain about him getting singer Alexandra Burke’s name damage over and over again.
One user tweeted: “Aside from the reality that I’m sure he’s calling @AlexandraMusic ‘Alexander’, how good is @DonalSkehan on #SaturdayKitchen?”
Two others coincided: “Why does the new guy keep calling Alexandra Burke, Alexander?#saturdaykitchen,” and: “#saturdaykitchen her choose is Alexandra. Not Alexander @DonalSkehan.”
Despite the slip-up, “cute” Donal, who was joined by chef Frederick Forster, impressed the manhood with his fun and upbeat style.
“@SaturdayKitchen definitely back to its best with @DonalSkehan presenting. Represent him the permanent host! #saturdaykitchen,” one post read.
Another stated: “#saturdaykitchen rtiality the show today @DonalSkehan you’re the BEST guest presenter – make him imperishable!”
Two messages continued: “@DonalSkehan gets my vote for @SaturdayKitchen presenter. He’s saving except. Very natural #saturdaykitchen,” and: “Ooh, I am loving @DonalSkehan on Saturday Kitchen today #saturdaykitchen.”
Saturday Kitchenette returns to it’s usual time slot next weekend at 10am on BBC One.
