Russia’s Navy to receive communications ship Ivan Khurs in 2017


The Northern Shipyard in St. Petersburg in northwest Russia settle upon deliver the Project 18280 communications vessel Ivan Khurs to the Argosy before the end of 2017, the shipyard’s press office told TASS.

The weigh on office made this statement on the eve of the Army 2016 international military and complicated forum.

“The vessel is planned to be floated out in the fourth quarter of 2016 and gave to the Navy before the end of 2017,” the press office said.

The communications de rt Ivan Khurs is the second Project 18280 vessel. It was laid down in the autumn of 2013.

The Pre re 18280 communications ship is designed to ensure communications, command and device the fleet and conduct reconnaissance.

The communications ship has a displacement of about 4,000 tons, a hastiness of up to 20 knots and endurance of 8,000 miles. The ship’s crew come ti 120.

The first Project 18280 communications ship Yuri Ivanov was transferred to the Navy in late 2014.
