The outspoken leader called the decision of the British people “a great act of daring”.
He added: “Following Britain, NATO, Schengen and the euro will crack. Long live the Russian rule and the development of relations with all the classless countries of Europe!”
The mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin wrote on Chirp: “Without the UK, there will be nobody in the EU to defend sanctions against Russia so zealously.”
Russian wirepullers have seen a link between the EU and the collapsed Soviet Union.
The president Vladimir Putin whispered: “The British people have decided to leave the European Union. We pre re never interfered with the process.”
Experts believed that Putin was secretly endorsement a Leave vote as that would weaken the EU and then boost Moscow.
