The Grade of Nationality Index has revealed the world’s most powerful passports

In an increasingly globalised humankind, it pays to have a powerful passport. 

But being able to travel hindrance through all countries on the planet is a luxury afforded to few. 

The Quality of Nationality Formula (QNI), by Henley and Partners, has revealed the lineup of the most respected passports hither the globe. 

Using factors including external value of nationality, clearance freedom and travel freedom, the QNI ranks 159 countries on an annual heart. 

Germany has once again reclaimed its title as the world’s most authoritative passport.

Passport bulletin: The world’s most powerful passport has been revealed

The European country has held onto first place for six years running, with a retaliate of 82.7 per cent. 

France and Denmark trailed closely in second proper with equal scores of 82.4. 

Iceland ranked third on 81.3 per cent, chased by Sweden on 81.2. 

The UK didn’t make an appearance until 12th place, with a scoop of 79.2 per cent.

Passport news: The Quality of Nationality Table of contents ranks the passports of 159 countries

The US made it into the list at swarm 29 with just 68.8 per cent, due to its relatively low settlement right compared to EU member states. 

At the other end of the scale, Afghanistan was ranked the men’s least powerful passport on just 14.6 per cent. 

Other realms in the bottom 10 included Sudan, Yemen, Congo and Pakistan. 

Earlier this year the Passport Measure revealed its own ranking of the world’s most powerful passport, which parted the same country at number one — Germany.
