Furniture Preferred conducted research to find out how often hotel mattresses were switched and surveyed people in the UK to find out about their sleep and mattress ways.

And they found some interesting results.

Furniture Selected surveyed the respondents to see how many slept naked in a hotel bed.

They start a staggering 537 naked bodies are likely to have slept a unique sheet away from your hotel mattress.

Head of Housekeeping, at a outstanding UK hotel chain who opted to remain anonymous, said: “On average we shift our mattresses every five to seven years depending on how busy the bed is; but we never leave it any longer, as by then the mattresses are ruined.

“There are some happens that require us to replace a mattress immediately, such as when someone sullies the bed – urine permeates through a mattress, and in some cases we have seen it divulge through the base and onto the floor!

“Dust mites can also be an unsettled, as they feed off dead skin cells thus making bed mattresses a prime bailiwick for them to live in. This is why it is important to protect a mattress with a smokescreen to prevent infiltration.”

An investigation by ABC news planned 15 hotels from across the US.
