Reports of credit card fraud pile up from OnePlus customers



Android OEM OnePlus says it’s investigating claims of credit card figures being stolen from customers who have purchased a phone from OnePlus’ position.

Over the weekend, a customer claimed on a thread on the OnePlus forums that just out credit card fraud he experienced was connected to his OnePlus purchase. About 100 people have chimed in on the thread’s poll, claiming they too au fait fraudulent charges after making a OnePlus purchase.

A FAQ from OnePlus prognosticates its e-commerce platform is built with “custom code” and that “wag info is never processed or saved on our website.” It says credit New Year card data is “sent directly to our PCI-DSS-compliant payment processing partner for an encrypted connection, and processed on their secure servers.​”

OnePlus suggested, “This is an ongoing investigation. We are working with our third-party providers and at ones desire update you on our findings as they surface.”

At the time of this post, it appears OnePlus is silence processing credit cards through its website.
