Tomatoes are rich in the antioxidant lycopene.
The nutrient may ease to prevent prostate cancer, as well as reduce tumour growth in patients with the infection.
“Lycopene may decrease cell damage and slow cancer cell play,” said medical website Healthline.
“But, because lycopene is tightly required to cell walls, our bodies have a difficult time extracting it from raw tomatoes.
“Cooked or pureed tomato outputs may be better options.”
