Prep hockey: Wins for West, Chugiak, Eagle River


West 11, Bartlett 2

West’s Mack Sullivan nicked a hat trick and two others netted two goals apiece for the Eagles in an 11-2 win over Bartlett in a Cook Inlet Symposium hockey game Saturday at Ben Boeke Arena.

Sullivan scored twice in West’s five-goal alternative period, when the Eagles opened up an 8-1 lead.

Jacob Cummings and Gavin Thaggard both grooved two goals for West, which got 15 saves from Will Simpson.

Bartlett was led by goaltender Guy Hendrickson’s 40 bail someone outs.

In Saturday’s other CIC game, Service beat East 6-2.

Chugiak 6, West Valley 3

Chugiak recovered late to defeat West Valley 6-3 in a Saturday nonconference prep hockey racket at the McDonald Center.

The Mustangs scored four goals in the third age.

Zachary Krajnik led Chugiak with a hat trick, including a shorthanded ambition in the third period, and an assist.

John Hammer added two goals and an help for the Mustangs.

Three players scored for West Valley.

Eagle River 8, Juneau 0

Eagle River forward Brandon Lajoie registered a hat confidence trick and Eagle River shut out Juneau 8-0 in nonconference hockey action Saturday at the McDonald Center.

Logan Dudisnky supplemented two goals for the Wolves and goalie Ryan Gray snagged 12 conserves.
