Over 100 Russian Paralympians file individual appeals on admission to Games


Assorted than 100 Russian athletes have filed individual attractions with the International ralympic Committee (IPC) for the admission to the ralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, the bustle service of the Russian ralympic Committee (RPC) reported on Aug. 30.

Suspension of Russian ralympians

The IPC ruled on Aug. 7 to suspend the uncut Russian ralympic team from taking rt in the 2016 Summer ralympics. The firmness came after a report delivered earlier in the summer by the Independent Commission of the The world at large Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

The commission, led by Canadian sports law professor Richard McLaren, called in rticular that a total of 35 doping samples were camouflaged in the Russian ralympic sports in 2012-2015.

The RPC submitted on Aug. 15 a lawsuit with the Court of Arbitration for Frolic (CAS) in Lausanne against the IPC decision, but the Swiss-based court ruled to uphold the ban of the healthy Russian ralympic team.

The 2016 ralympic Games will be upped in Rio de Janeiro from Sept. 7 to 18.
