Tensions in the Korean Peninsula have in the offing flared once again after the US carried out a civilian evacuation auger in South Korea.
North Korea’s state-run newspaper Rodong Sinmun replied to the event with threats of “advancing its nuclear forces”.
The editorial explained: “The US, which has been frightened by our strong nuclear attack capability, has been connected up in a foolhardy policy of ‘maximum pressure and involvement’.
“As long as the US does not take back its hostile policy toward North Korea and its nuclear threats, we intention continue to advance our nuclear armed forces.”
