Mother-of-two Angela Colborn examined to the chemist’s after her face turned red and her ear began to swell and was sent to A&E. 

Doctors there were numbed to discover a spider had taken up residence inside her ear canal and was building a web. 

Ms Colborn, 38, was ditch off daughter Lara, nine, at school in Wallington, south London, when she deliberate ons the creepy-crawly climbed inside her ear. 

She said: “We always walk down an alleyway to get to the instil, down the side of the allotments, which is quite overgrown and full of larvae.

“Afterwards I went to see my grandad and I had an itch in my ear. I looked in the mirror and it was awful – red and expanded.

I had an want in my ear, I looked in the mirror and it was awful – red and swollen.

“I could prefer something wriggling around and then settling down for a few minutes, and every loiter again and again it moved I was getting more and more panicky.” 

Ms, who runs a bridal braids and extensions business, went to St Helier Hospital in nearby Carshalton.

She turned: “The doctor was worried about damaging my eardrum with his forceps but the baby suggested drowning it.

“She got some oil, syringed it slowly into my ear, and left it in there for 15 leasts. 

“Then she rinsed it out with water and eventually two legs came out, a bit longer than an eyelash.” 

Ms Colborn hopes the be idle of the spider will eventually fall out without further treatment.»
