Moscow expects progress in settling Syria crisis to be made by end of 2016

Russia surmises decisive progress to be made in the settlement process in Syria by the end of the year, Russian imperishable representative at the UN Vitaly Churkin said.

Speaking to Interfax on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg Oecumenical Economic Forum on June 16, Churkin said the settlement function in Syria sees “great concentration of efforts, including negotiations and aid between our and U.S. military to bring this conflict to an end.”

“This is precisely what my hope is based on, and a lot of other people dividend it in hoping that decisive progress could be made in the near days in settling this conflict. It would be good if this could find by the end of this year,” Churkin said.
