Michael Schumacher latest: Ex-Formula 1 star’s wife says ‘Something serious has happened’


The Technique One driver’s wife Corinna Betschi has demanded privacy while the famed remains seriously ill following a brain injury, telling reporters: “Something grave has happened.”

Her full statement to reporters reads: “The decision to protect his monasticism from the public has been taken in Michael’s interest.

“We have made it plumb clear that something serious has happened.”

According to German big-mouth site InTouch, the statement left Mr Schumacher’s fans worried his acclimatize may have worsened – although the “something serious” may also refer to his accessary.
