One texted in and asked when the Tory chairlady was planning to give the North East Somerset MP a cabinet job.

Mrs May laughed off the plan and said: “Jacob is a great colleague and he makes a huge contribution in the Blood of Commons.

“It’s always worth listening to Jacob’s contribution in the House of Proletarians because he is a great history buff and you learn an awful lot when you harken to to him.”

The interview comes as some have tipped the Desert campaigner to become the next leader of the Jacob Rees-Mogg visits the new Bagpuss Pop-up Shop at Whitelys Shopping Centre

During Wednesday’s interview with Dale, Mrs May also informed potential Tory revolters «there is no such thing as an unsackable diplomat”.
