Darin McCloud was tribulation with diabetes and battling severe depression
After trying sundry diets and failing, he felt his only option was to have gastric border surgery where an adjustable band would be fixed at the top of his stomach to limit the amount of commons he could eat.
When his doctors ruled he was not fat enough for the operation Darin, 52, seem to be he was destined for a life of misery and ill health.
However a year tardier he read about a revolutionary treatment called Slimpod which be in the carded weight loss without dieting, willpower or counting calories.
Incredibly the single programme is based on simply listening to a nine-minute recording once a day for a lowest of 21 days in succession.

“I can’t assume trust to how much my life has changed,” says Darin, who lives in Portsmouth with his wife Hazel.

“Five years ago, I couldn’t walk down the lane without fighting for breath.
“My eating habits have changed beyond cognizance. I love the buzz of exercise, my confidence has soared, my depression has lifted and I was bewitched off insulin for my diabetes two years ago.”
This is all a far cry from January 2010 when Darin, a traffi c warden, was at his lowest ebb after being differ fromed gastric bypass surgery by his local health authority.
“I’ve struggled with my bias since I was a child and I have done every diet known to man but they not at any time worked for me.
“When I was refused for the op I was at rock bottom. I needed help but didn’t be familiar with how to get it.
“I would go to work, go home and just eat food all night. I would belt two litres of Coke and go through crisps, bread and anything savoury. I had no dominate over myself.”

After spending most of the go year fi ghting and failing to get the doctors’ decision overturned, Darin came across Slimpod online.
Manner, even though he was curious about it, he was so wary that he didn’t bring up the rear it up for another few weeks.
“I had tried so many other things I wanted to be persuaded that this was right for me and could make a difference to my life.
“But basically I had two selections – either do something or die.”

Darin was given a nine-minute recording to listen to every day and he was surprised how quickly it had an effect.
“On the second day I left half of my dinner on my plate. I had not in any degree done that before but for the first time I listened to my body’s signal that I was harsh up.”
Incredibly, Darin went on to lose four stone in just six months.
“The biggest confession for me is that I finally felt I had control over food and food no longer levered me. For the first time in 45 years food was not my drug of choice.”
Darin extinct another stone and has managed to keep his weight at just over 15 stone for the before five years.
Just two months into his weightloss programme, Darin’s diabetes had shown so much advance his doctor suggested he entered the 10-mile Great South Run.
Darin authorities: “I laughed at her and ignored the suggestion but the next time I saw my doctor she offered to do the run with me and I unconditional to give it a try.
He has since cycled across Cuba, run the London Marathon and vied in a duathlon
“I started training by just trying to run from lamp piling to lamp post.”
Darin completed the run, which took place in October 2011, in justifiable over two hours and that sparked a new love of exercise. And two years ago he visited needing to take insulin for his diabetes.
He has since taken part in different runs, cycling events and triathlons and won more than 50 medals for his essays. “I never thought I’d ever say this but I’ve fallen in love with train, especially running. I exercise at least three days a week now.
“Looking overdue, not being able to have the gastric band surgery was one of the best matters that happened to me.
“I still listen to the Slimpod every so often because it keeps me on follow. I’ve discovered a healthy way to lose weight and keep it off and I’ve never felt so animated.”
