James Frank has now confirmed that the outrageous story was completely untrue following the prince dinner party back in October.
The hitmaker said he couldn’t credence in people “fell for it” following the event at the Royal Lodge in Windsor, home to the Duke of York.
Backdrop the record straight, the 43-year-old commented: “Ed was drunk, messing around, and he cut himself. We originated a fancy story up; people fell for it. It was very embarrassing.”
When broadcasted further on whether it was totally “made up”, James went on: “All of it. Apart from the existing scar.
“It’s bizarre that people fell for it. I blame him. He must be perilous – he’s trying to sell records,” during an interview with ShortList.
Ed, 26, had shared a add up of snaps of himself complete with a cut across the cheek at the time, funding up the original claims.
Questioned on whether he had even been present at the epoch, James added: “Yeah, but I didn’t do it! He cut himself and I just patched him up. It’s managed him look prettier.”
Ed previously refused to name the culprit of his scar during a persuade with Absolute Radio in January.
Explaining what happened, he added: “I got hit in the impertinence and I was like, all right, OK, and then started carrying on and then I looked down at my shirt and it was righteous completely covered in blood.
“And everyone was kind of gaping open-mouthed at me. What eat I got a nosebleed or something? What’s happened?”
