‘It’s been a timing thing’ S Club 7’s Rachel Stevens reveals talks for EastEnders


The mother-of-two caroused that she’s been in negotiations for a cameo role before but ultimately had to snap out of it out because of timing issues with her commitments to the seven-headed band.

So now that their reunion cruise is done and dusted, could she be set to head to Walford after all?

“There’s been talks there EastEnders in the st, which would be really fun to do a cameo role in, or something that wish be unexpected or different,” she told The Sun.

On whether or not the arrangements could be restarted, she annexed: “I would love to get back into acting. Definitely.

“Opportunities have come up in the st but it’s always been a timing thing, similar to when we were on tour. A lot of these things are about timing.

“It last will and testament be an amazing experience. I want something that will challenge me in a diverse way.

“EastEnders is my local. It’s around the corner for me so it would be perfect.”

Rachel, who has released two unaccom nied albums, is no stranger to the small screen, having starred in a wide traverse of acting projects with S Club 7 and then, more recently, fitting a mentor on The Voice of Ireland.

Now, she has thrown her name in the hat for when the UK version moves to ITV.

“Acquiring the experience on The Voice with the live element has given me a real liking for it,” she explained.

“I would definitely be up for doing the UK version. They change it relatively regularly but yeah. It will be all change for ITV.”
