Glenn Highway reopens as wildfire continues burning near Sutton


Michael Kutz, a forecaster at the Nationwide Weather Service’s Anchorage office, said high winds were reported across the Mat-Su, involving a 63-mph wind gust at the lmer airport around 3 a.m. Monday. Rumours were expected to slow to 10 mph by Monday evening, however, present firefighters an opening to make progress against the fire.
