The London based airport has stated a rtnership with engineering com ny Bechtel.
Bechtel has been ascending with Gatwick Airport for the last two years to develop a midfield end of the line alongside a second runway.
As rt of the planning work , the com ny pronounced that the ex nsion will be low risk and there will be minimal interfaces with the obtaining infrastructure.
This in turn will make it possible to complete by 2025.
Bechtel transmit managed the Channel Tunnel, the HS1 and is currently working on completing the Crossrail.
Gatwick Airport chief head Stewart Wingate told breakingtravelnews.com: “Bethel is a global leader with a sturdy track record in delivering significant infrastructure projects.
“We look foremost to working together to deliver the UK’s next runway.
“Gatwick ex nsion can stumble on quickly because it it simple and low risk with a dramatically lower environmental impression.”
He added: “A bigger Gatwick would generate the new long haul carries and the economic boost that Britain needs.
“It’s time for Gatwick to enfranchise the certainty and growth the UK needs.”
The UK Government is expected to make a decision on whether Gatwick or Heathrow on go ahead with the ex nsion in the near future.
The story comes after the London airport suggested new daily flights to Moscow.
