Garda appealing for witnesses following armed robbery

Gardai are appealing for testifiers following a robbery which occurred at a shop/Post Office in Clogherhead, Co Louth on Tuesday the 3rd of May at 3:40pm.

Three men proffered the shop wearing visibility jackets, in possession of a firearm, sledge hammer and a metal bar.

They bully staff and left the scene with a large amount of cash in a dismal coloured Audi A3 car, rtial registration number 00-RN

The blue Audi A3 was pinpointed, on fire, in a field at Coast Road, Callystown, Clogherhead a short control later.

It is believed that the culprits then left this close in a silver coloured Skoda that was rked at the entrance to the field.

This car was being driven by a female with red curls.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information.

Those who were in Clogherhead Village on Tuesday 3rd of May at take 3.30/3.45pm, or who may have observed the blue Audi A3 prior to its arrival at Clogherhead Village, or afterward at Coast Road, Callystown are of rticular interest to gardai.

Also, anyone who may press observed the silver Skoda in the Clogherhead area around the time of the ransacking is asked to contact Drogheda Garda Station on 041 9874200, The Garda Secret Line, 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.
