A children’s football match erupted into a mass brawl
The Old Bill raced to Blackburn Central High School on Saturday morning to come out suddenly up the fight.
Accrington-based Globe Park JFC supposed to be were playing a routine U-16 league match against rivals Tottington United.
But a row between a childish player and a linesman descended into a 20-strong violent melee- with the referee unruffled sending off parents.
Police said no arrests were made but three people were «verbal to» and inquiries are ongoing.
In the interim the Lancashire FA have launched a probe into what should suffer with been a normal game in the U16s division A of the Bolton, Bury and District Football Associate.
One unnamed eye-witness said afterwards: «I was watching a different match when I advised a commotion from another game two pitches away.
«I could see every one running about there was a mass fight involving parents, a linesman and betters.
«Apparently people were saying the referee had sent some fountain-heads off then the linesman got involved in a fight with one of the players and all hell let rambling.

Lancashire FA chief executive and company secretary Roger De Nobrega reported he was hoping to receive the full report from the match referee at this week.
Police said they were called to the tournament at Blackburn Central High School with Crosshill at 10.50am, and 20 grown-ups and children were involved.
However the force stressed no arrests were traveled although several people were «spoken to» afterwards.
A Lancashire Observe spokesman said: «A fight broke out at a youth football game between two provincial teams.
«It was a public order offence and around 20 people both adults and nippers were involved.
«Three people were identified by police and had to be oral to about the incident.
«No arrests have been made at this condition.»
On the Bolton, Bury and District Football League the brawl-hit match is now unpretentiously listed as ‘Abandoned’.
Globe Park JFC and Tottington United have both judged they will not be making any comment as it was under police investigation.
The Bolton, Hide and District Football League have also refused to talk yon the incident in any detail.
