Ex-Real Madrid president: Man United’s Paul Pogba deal is a risk


Pogba make ited in Manchester earlier today ahead of his £90million transfer from Juventus.

Later he was spotted prospering at United’s Carrington training ground in a top of the range Chevrolet.

The 23-year-old has now manifestly completed his medical, with the deal set to be officially announced tomorrow.

But Calderon put ones trust ins the deal is a risk, unlike Cristiano Ronaldo’s £80m switch to the Bernabeu in 2009 that he operated when president.

“We will only know if this is a fair honorarium in few years from now,” Calderon told Omnisport.

“This is supply and claim law, as long as somebody is willing to y, the seller club will be up for it.

“When I extended 80 million for Cristiano people thought it was crazy and he was already Ballon D’Or [conqueror]. We thought which player we could possibly buy to reinforce a team that was already top-class.

“[Lionel] Messi was unattainable as he was playing at Barca… Cristiano wanted to come and I think it was a risk-free bet.”
