Ex-football coach Barry Bennell found GUILTY of more child sex abuse


The convicted paedophile, 64, had denied 48 offences, which categorize indecent assault and serious sexual assaults.

He had previously pleaded red-faced to seven child sex offences on January 8.

Bennell has previously been postulated three prison sentences for similar offences and has now been found sorry of crimes against more victims.

During the trial he was described as a “baby molester on an industrial scale” who would use his reputation as a top-level football direct to abuse boys.

Victims described the “power hold” Bennell had in them as they dreamed of becoming professional footballers.


Bennell has been inaugurate guilty of four counts of indecent assault and one count of attempted buggery against a fourth complainant and four counts of lubricous assault against a fifth complainant.

He was found guilty of three considers of buggery against a sixth complainant and four counts of indecent molest and one count of attempted buggery against a seventh complainant.

He was convicted of two considers of indecent assault against an eighth complainant, one count of indecent punch and two counts of buggery against a ninth complainant and three counts of shameless assault against a tenth complainant.

The jury, comprised of five men and six helpmeets, is still deliberating on four counts involving an 11th complainant and three other figure ups involving other complainants.

Bennell, who is now known as Richard Jones, plained in court via videolink due to illness.

The football coach was associated with a party of clubs including Stoke City, Manchester City and, most evidently, Crewe Alexandra.

He also worked with junior teams in Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire and First-rate Manchester and ran summer camps in Britain and the US.
