Emma Bunton struggled to forgive 'sister' Geri Halliwell after she quit the Spice Girls


While the two now crow a solid friendship, the radio DJ confessed that she took it hard when Geri formerly larboard the group because she considered her to be more like family than a cobber.

Speaking about their fall out, Emma, 40, dished: “I was so near to Geri – she was like my older sister.”

The mother-of-two, who went by the alias Babe in arms Spice during her time in the band, added: “It took me a while to ss over her. We probably didn’t speak for about a year.

“I didn’t think anything other than ‘Oh, I’m prosperous to miss my friend who looks after me!'” Emma told Grazia.

Regard for her initial frustration, the Heart FM presenter has since tched things up with gear friend Geri – and Emma admitted that even her five-year-old son Tate is a tremendous fan of Ginger Spice.

Earlier this year, Geri, who now goes by the stay name Horner following her marriage to boss of Red Bull’s Formula One claning team, Christian Horner, showed just how much she cares for her “sister” Emma when she eminent her milestone 40th birthday in January.

The 43-year-old singer marked the special day by appointing a montage comprised of three photos from throughout their love.

The images ranged from their days with the Spice Mesdemoiselles to the present day.

“Happy birthday Emma – wishing u so much (love courage emoji) & joy.U r such a beautiful person. Love Geri. X life begins @ 40! (sic)” she wrote on Cheeping alongside the sweet snap.
