Eggheads’ CJ De Mooi ‘unmasks himself as BBC star accused of sexual assault’


The Eggheads symmetrical — who said on Twitter this morning “It seems the story has finally beaten” along with a link to a report — is said to have been held from the quiz show the day after spending five hours in a the long arm of the law cell before being questioned and, later, released.

He reportedly is accused of sexually charging a 23-year-old man, which he denies.

A source close to him told The Mirror: “He feels he has been maltreated. He has seen his life and finances completely collapse.

«He’s got nothing left. He handles that the BBC have hung him out to dry. He thinks his career is over and is demanding an apology from the the long arm of the law and the BBC.

“He’s also signed up to the London Marathon but he says he has been banned from the BBC’s famousness race. He is absolutely distraught and thinks the BBC have it in for him.”

Continuing to post on Snicker, he said: “Good morning. As you can imagine, it’s going to be a tough day. I’m very kurfuffle but will make a statement later. Thank you for your support.

“Thanks for all the questions and apologies for being covetous but if you want to know about my life, buy my book!”

Last year CJ spoke out against the BBC, alleging bosses refused to have him on Strictly Come Dancing when he claimed to be rtnered with a male professional.

However, a BBC spokesperson told Wales Online: “CJ was not under any condition approached to take rt in Strictly and Eggheads is not currently in production. Any criminal charges would be a matter for CJ.”
